What can you do with this hedge trimmer starter kit?

Trim hedges manually? No thank you! This battery-powered hedge trimmer is equipped with a 20 V motor, which lets you cut hedges and shrubs quickly with great results.

The tool operates with the 20 V (2000 mAh) Dual Power battery, which is included in this set. The battery fits all 20 V power and garden tools from our Dual Power line. The set also includes the charger, which is compatible with both the 20 V and 2x20 V batteries.

Lightweight: At just 2960 g, this hedge trimmer is a real lightweight, making it easy to manoeuvre and control. It offers optimal user comfort, even when working for longer periods of time.

Ideal for small hedges: This hedge trimmer features a double action blade, 515 mm in length, making it ideal for smaller hedges and unevenly shaped shrubs. In addition, it's easily manoeuvrable and can be used in areas that are typically hard to reach.

Cutting capacity: With this 515 mm long blade you can effortlessly cut through branches of up to 15 mm thick. This cutting capacity is partially determined by the distance between the blades. It's best to use a saw or lopping shears for thicker branches.

Environmentally friendly: No bothersome cables that get in the way, and no CO² emissions. Additionally, the battery is compatible with different tools within its product range, so you don’t need separate batteries for each tool. That is what makes this hedge trimmer the more ecological choice.

Double action blade, laser cut: The double action blade consists of two separate blades moving in opposite directions. In addition, they are laser cut blades and provide better cutting results.

Tips & Tricks:

• Most hedges and shrubs experience a first growth spurt during the spring. So, it’s best to give them their first trim before the beginning of summer, between mid-May and mid-June. Fast-growing species can also use an extra trim after the summer, between the end of August and mid-September. Always cut your hedges on a dry, cloudy day, so they don't get damaged by the sun.
• How frequently you should trim the hedges depends on the type and shape. A boxwood hedge with a complex shape will need more frequent pruning to maintain that shape. If, on the other hand, you have a tall hedge that should retain its natural shape, you'll only have to trim it once or twice a year.
